  • Bloom's Literary Criticism (Burns Library Database)
    Try searching "Shakespeare and Milton" to see if you can find any articles that discuss both authors and possible similarities. Then try searching each author or works for more specific information.
  • EBSCO Literary Reference Center
    Make sure you click on the link, LITERARY REFERENCE CENTER. Try searching "Paradise Lost" then look at the tabs above to narrow your search if needed.

    Do the same for Shakespeare.
    Come up with your own search strategies for both authors, but remember to look for ways to filter or narrow down your search results. Sometimes, it is as easy as filtering to search only literary journals. You will have to use the ADVANCED SEARCH function to do so.
