Books In our Library

Look in our library catalog and reference shelves of the library to find books.  There may already be a Reserve Book Cart in the library for your class. Here is the link to our online catalog (remember you must be logged on Cubview for it to work):

Database Research

1.  The database passwords can be found by logging into Cubview, then search for the Burns Library Cubview page  -- "Databases for Research."  While you are at it, join our group!

2.  Search these databases for your World History topic.

    1. After logging in, choose "World History: Ancient & Medieval Eras" link.
    2. In the QUICK SEARCH line, type: "Ming dynasty trade." (don't use quotes)
    3. On the right column, you will see a list of article titles that should be of interest.
    4. You can also try clicking on more items in left frame, like Events, specific conflicts, people, etc.
  • EBSCO Student Research Center
    1. After logging in, click on "Student Research Center."
    2. In the search line, type (w/out quotes) "Ming dynasty trade."
    3. There are quite a few articles that should be of interest.
Finding what you need on this database may be cumbersome. Try combining terms like "China," "Ming Dynasty" with "trade," etc. You can also try narrowing down to a historical era.

Other Libraries
